My fans on my MacBook have been running wide open since I installed the SDK and rarely shutting off. When simply surfing the internet they are at 6,000+ RPM for no reason.

I tried to uninstall it the way they said to by using terminal and:

$ sudo <Xcode>/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all

all it says is:

-bash: Xcode: No such file or directory

Just delete the folder. That is the easiest way to uninstall.

You're doing it wrong. Where it says <Xcode> you DRAG the Developer folder to the Terminal window, delete the space it puts after it, then add the /Library/uninstall-devtools part.

OK thanks for the info. I just trashed the dev folder so I likely have other things floating around I need to find, but my fans finally cut off!!! :)

They went from 6280 to 1556 :D

The CPU went from 189 to 148.

Nothing was running except safari.

Can I just delete Developer folder or do I need to go looking for other things?

Yes you can. I think XCode places some files in a few other folders, not sure about the location(s), but the crux of the files are inside the developer folder

I'm going to buy a dedicated computer for this SDK. It does too many weird things to my comp I have to use all day long.
