I switched to T-Maybe back in October for financial reasons and I'd like to use my iPhone again.

I've managed to jailbreak it, but my wifi card is kaput. I downloaded the Ultrasn0w files and diskaid so I could manually input the files. That hasn't worked at all.

If I need to I can restore the phone and start back from scratch.

Anyone have any tips or guides I may be able to use to achieve my goal?

Much thanks!

EDIT: so blacksn0w seems to have irreversibly bricked my phone :(

Get your wifi fixed. It's going to be hard to do it all thru ssh.
Depending on what firmware and baseband you're on you will need different programs to use.

See the problem is I was using blacksn0w and it locked up during the jailbreaking process. I had to forcequit and now all that shows up on my iphone is a cartoon picture of Steve Jobs saying something in Russian

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
You can do it manually thru ssh or the easier way like my friend mentioned above is use someones AT&T sim to install what you need thru Cydia.

Will that do anything to their simcard? I don't think they would forgive me if I ruined it.

No. Using their sim card won't do anything. You just need the internet connection to install ultrasn0w from Cydia.

Something happened while I was jailbreaking the phone. It gave me the same unknown error 1015, and now that cartoon steve jobs saying hello in russian is back on my screen

Edit: Now I can't force it out of recovery...

Basically what's happening, is every time I try to restore the phone, I get the 1015 Unknown error crap.

That's what stopped the from being jailbroken
