Need HELP upgrade iPod touch 3g from 3.1.3 to 4.0 jailbreak with spirit

I jailbroke my iPod touch 3g 3.1.3, but want to upgrade ios 4. How do I get started without having to go to 4.0.2 in iTunes? Would any problem if jailbroken before with spirit? Please help!!!

I'm in the same situation. I do not believe there's any way around it other than to wait for the 4.1 jailbreak.
