I have a macbook pro 2,2

Intel core 2 duo
2.16ghz
3gb mem
ati radeon x1600
120gb hd fujitsu

Am looking to upgrade the harddrive , i need help choosing the best one for my laptop config.

i would like atleast 500gb , i've search alot and am having trouble picking one to replace my old hard drive.

Thanks for your help

I upgraded my MBP 2,2 a few months ago to a Seagate Momentus 7200RPM 500GB HDD and it was real easy to do and didn't cost much. It's been a great HDD so far.

Thanks ,

Ive actually be looking at the western digital blue and black...leaning towards the black.

But its a tough choice dont know which one will actually be best for this machine.

Did you notice much of a performance increase going to a 7200 rpm drive?

Yes over the 5400RPM stock drive I did notice a difference in overall read/write speed. I had also added an extra 1GB of RAM bumping it up to 3GB which helped even more than the HDD.

The Western Digial C Black is a great HD and you can't go wrong with it. I think they just released a 750GB one as well
