need help using hangouts on iphone 6

I'm heading out of the country for vacation and will not be using my phone except while on wifi. I have Hangouts installed and I have no problem dialing out from the app; however, I can't seem to get incoming calls to ring on my iphone 6. I've gone in to the Hangouts settings and turned on "Incoming phone calls" under "Phone Number". Is there something else I need to do so that my phone rings when someone calls my GV number while I'm away?
 
Forget it - got it to work by logging out of the app and then logging back in. Mods: Please delete.
