I'll accept that this could have been avoided with better follow through on our part, but my wife's 2013 15" MBPr has the screen coating issue. It's not horrible - mostly around the bezel - but it would be nice to get it replaced. My wife brought it in months ago (maybe more than a year ago) to the local Apple store; they took a look, said that the would replace it under warranty, and said that they would contact her when the part came in. Months go by, life happens, etc., so when Apple announced the end of the program, my wife made another appointment at the Genius Bar, but this time they told her that because her computer is over 4 years old, the screen won't be replaced under warranty. Rather, it's $680, at which point she said no thanks.
Unfortunately, my wife doesn't have record of the earlier appointment. Does anyone know whether the Apple Stores maintain this information, so she can go back and ask? (She forgot to mention the earlier appointment.) We can live with the issue, but she really did ask when she should have been eligible, and Apple just never followed up. Admittedly, we could have, too, but it wasn't a huge priority.
Many thanks.
