need help with a data CD that was never finalized

Here's my problem: a few years ago, i started burning some of my photos onto a few CD's on a Win machine (i think it was win98). something happened to the computer that i was never able to complete the finalization of the CD to make it readable by other computers. I now have a MB (see sig for details). i recently found them and when i put it into the MB, it says the disk is unreadable. is there anyway to retrieve the stuff of these CDs? any and all help is greatly appreciated.
