Need help with a friends iPhone.

A friend of mine tried upgrading his iPhone 4 (FW 4.2.1) to the beta of 4.3. Now his iPhone is pretty much bricked. The phone says to connect to iTunes and when he connects it, iTunes has the "We're unable to complete your activation" message. Is there anything I can do to unbrick his phone?
 
wait a few hours for itunes to update, you might have caught them on theur lunch break
