Need help with a MacMini DVR on DirecTV.

I recently moved and found myself in an area where Comcast was unwilling to run a cable to let me get TV, so I am stuck with Satellite. The problem is that I have been using EyeTV with my Mini Core Duo to record my TV, a solution that will no longer work because I need a set top box to decode the satellite signal.

Is there a way to control a settop box on the Mac and then allow me to schedule recordings to keep on doing what I have been doing?
