My girl friends White Macbook (August 2006 2.0ghz core duo) was running out of HD space.
I picked her up a 320Gb seagate 2.5 sata HD and a Rocketfish usb enclosure in order to clone the original drive using SuperDuper and then swap out the old drive into the enclosure to be used as a back up drive.

The clone using SuperDuper went fine. I put the new 320gb seagate into the laptop and everything booted perfectly. I then put the old drive in the enclosure in order to use it as a a backup. When I plugged the external enclosure with the old drive in to the Macbook the drive kept beeping and nothing mounted.

I then plugged it into my Unibody Macbook 2.4Ghz and it mounted fine. I opened up my Disk Utility and erased the drive and formated it Mac OSX (journaled) hoping this would help.

Plugged it into her 2006 white Macbook and all it did was beep repeatedly.
Works on mine, beeps on hers, both systems are running Mac OS 10.5.6

Thanks a lot for any advice or help guys!
