Is there anyone who could help me out with the activation of my new iphone 4s?
here's the situation...
I got this new iphone 4s as a gift...however, due to different region...my friend bought a sim locked iphone...
i know there isn't any jailbreak or untethered program out for iphone 4s yet, but is there a way to at least activate the phone without the original sim?
I've done some research about activating iphone 4s without the sim...
...some says that i can activate the iphone with a sim card called the phonebook sim? does it really work?
Is there any other way I can do it without using any sim? Because I am in Hong Kong at the moment and I have no idea where I can get that kind of sim card... So is there any other method to activate the phone?
and i understand even i get my iphone activated, I still won't be able to use it since i don't have the carrier's sim... but at least i can use it like an ipod and maybe wait 'til the untethered come out eventually...
