I made the switch from a PowerPC to a PC running Win 7 and have lost functionality that I'm trying to get back.

The Mac setup had an Airport Extreme Base as the router with a network cable connection to the Airport Express located in my kitchen. I attached the audio output from the Express to a boombox and stream music. I could turn these speakers on and off from within iTunes.

Under the PC setup which is the same as the Mac, I cannot see the kitchen boombox speakers in iTunes. No streaming music for me. I've exhausted my knowledge in trying to get this to work and would appreciate your help.

Thanks

I'm unfamiliar with Windows 7, but could it be possible that you need to add the IP address of your network to the list of trusted networks in your firewall program? For my XP computer to detect my Time Capsule drive, I had to enter 10.0.1.1 as a trusted zone for my firewall. It could be that your firewall is blocking access to your Express.
