Need help with an AVI file..

Hello, I know this is probably an easy question, but I do not have a clue. How can I get an AVI file to burn and play on a DVD? Thanks in advance...

Start an iDVD project
drag the AVI to the project
fool around with it
burn

However, you may need to download and install the DivX 6 QuickTime codec before this works.

AVI files are typically containers for DivX files.

Toast 7 has 1-step DivX to DVD conversion.

Just download whatever codecs you need to make it play in QuickTime Player than use Toast 7 Titanium to burn it to DVD.

Codecs you might consider:

DivX 6
XviD
3ivX
OggVorbis
AC3

That should be enough to get any avi working.

you have to get all their other crap in the download but the player itself is completely free!
