Need help with an external Hard drive

Okay my 500GB is out of space and I have 10GB left on my macbook. I shoot drag racing pictures and last event I took 1700 photo's, which was about 5GB of storage. What is a good external hard drive I can store just mainly photo's on it for my black macbook, so I don't run out of space on my macbook HD? Thanks!

You can buy any external HDD you want. Do you want a 2.5" HDD or a 3.5" HDD?
I have good experiences with Western Digital and LaCie HDDs.
