I ordered a 14” MBP that will be delivered Friday. I initiated a trade in of my old MBP for it. I think I want to get a 16” model though, and I’m going to try to see if I can find one in store. My question is, can I initiate another trade in with the same laptop if I find a 16“ model in store? And then I’ll just return the 14”.

Thanks for any help.

I think so. You already paid full price for the 14" machine. If you never return the trade-in you'll never get the credit for it.

@modernmoments I had a similar issue with the iPhone 13. You might need to simply chat with Apple online, and cancel the trade-in if you find a MacBook in store. The Specialist at my Apple Store tried to complete the trade-in in-store and refund part of my purchase but couldn't do so until my trade-in for the same device was canceled on the online order. So bottom line, if you find a MacBook in store, you can cancel the trade-in part of your online order and complete the trade-in in-store. Good luck!

Can I at least purchase the new computer with the trade in and then cancel the trade in after I purchase it (but before I pick it up)?
