Doing a show for CBS College Sports, we've been on the road, and the FCE problems are getting to be horrible.

Whenever we capture, the material is out of sync. We have made sure the camera is capturing in 16-bit to match with the 48khz in FCE. We've captured in small chunks, or entire 20+ minute videos, and we keep getting the same problems. Is there something we're missing?

Searching other forums, it seems that changing to 16 bit (or 12 bit with 32 Khz) fixes it, but we've tried that. We are using a wireless lav and handheld mic... we also capture nat sound through the camera.

We are using a Canon HDV handheld. The audio is fine when we play the tape back in the camera, there is something that goes wrong with the capture or the transfer. Any help is appreciated

What camera are you using, what capture presets are you using, what kind of drive are you capturing to, and has FCE always exhibited this problem for your or has the problem just started recently?

Lethal

Its a Canon HV20

we're recording the audio at 16 bit, the DV rec mode at SP

capture preset: DV NTSC 48 kHz

in the easy setup it has:

format: DV/Panasonic DVCPRO rate: all rates

use: DV-NTSC

Its started within the last 10 days, granted, we've only been working with the program on these computers for a little over 2 weeks. These same programs were used with other roadtrip teams and they said they never encountered this problem. However; I dont think they were getting as much video and audio as we are.
