USA but I tell people I’m Canadian
Today I got the new GoPro Max 2 360 degree camera.
I bought it to take 360 and 180 video and pictures for viewing in Vision Pro.

So far I’ve been able to take a 360 video that when opened in the Files app, it will ask to convert the file for Vision Pro.
It works great.

But I’m not able to take a 180 degree video or photo. I don’t know if my GoPro settings are wrong, I’m exporting it wrong or if I have to use some conversion software?

Also I haven’t been able to take a 180 or 360 picture that displays properly in Vision Pro.

I’m not sure what to try next. Any help would really be appreciated!
I’m leaving on a trip and would like to have this figured out.

Have you seen Hugh Hou's YouTube videos? This one covers conversions.

Apple Immersive Video Format on Vision Pro: 180°, 360° & Wide FOV

I haven't tried his suggestions yet. I have many Ricoh Theta 360 photos that I need to convert. I also flew my DJI Mini 3 drone in Hawaii last month and took spherical photos of Waikiki from 100m high. I'd love to see those on the headset.

I appreciate the link. I’ve seen that and got lost a bit.
Using third party players on Vision Pro I was able to view 180 and 360 photos.

The problem was quality. I took the Go Pro outside on a sunny day and recorded photos as well as 8k videos but they all looked like they came from an iPhone 3GS. Very grainy. Very low resolution.

Call me a quitter, but I returned the GoPro which was a difficult decision. I bought it for an upcoming trip but I just couldn’t get anything out of it that looked even decent in Vision Pro. I wasn’t expecting Apple Immersive quality. I would have been happy with a good standard def look. I understand stretching each 4k image is not going to look as good as the 16:9 4k image.

If anyone has better luck with the Max 2 and Vision Pro I’d love to hear how they did it. I tried every setting and lighting condition I couid think of.
