OK, so i inherited an HP LaserJet 3200 from my dad's office. Brought it home, plugged it in, and tested the copier. It worked! I plugged in a USB cable into my mac mini running 10.4.1 Absolutely nothing. Nothing showing up in system profiler, no pop up when i plugged it in, no way of detecting it what so ever. I've tried all USB ports, powering it on/off.
I looked into the drivers included with OS X and the 3200 is apparently included. HP's site has OS X 10.0.x drivers but they are not freely downloadable. If anyone has a driver or solution to this i would really appreciate it.
BTW, i tried installing usbtb and it couldn't detect a printer so... I'm really at a loss. Even if there is no driver installed for a particular printer, shouldnt it show up as generic or something to that effect?
