I am making a photo slideshow video for my parents 30th anniversary and want to have a picture of them with "Happy 30th Anniversary" but cannot figure out how to do it, or if I even can with imovie or any of my mac programs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Put the picture into iMovie, and then go to titles. Chose what style you want the text in, and there should be a option for the background to be transparent.
*does it from memory so might need to be corrected *

go into imovie, go insert the picture in your timeline, then go to titles and pic the one that you want and then uncheck the box that says OVER BLACK. the font will appear over your picture.
