I upgraded to iphoto 8 last night without a hitch. Today I was dragging some photos to the trash and I got the spinning beach ball. After a few minutes of this I forced quit iphoto 8 and each time I've tried to open it since I the following message
"The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto."
After I click OK and after about 1 minute I get the following message
"You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto."
I've tried command & option and once I choose the various options (and I've tried them all) after a few moments I again get this
"The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto." followed again by
"You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto." and then iPhoto quits.

I've tried everything I can think of to get this to work again, no luck. I don't want to have to go through setting up a new library and reimporting all the originals again. I've done to much work to to many pics and I've keyworded & albumed the hell out of my whole library and can't face having to do this again, ever.

Whoever can help me I'll paypal you $25 once problem has been fixed. Anyone? If you would like to email me rather then post please do so at augustfall@mac.com
