Need help with iSync / .Mac

I recently bought a new computer (iMac), but I am having problems syncing my .Mc with it.

Every time the computer goes to sync with .Mac, it asks me for the password to my OLD computer (PowerBook G4). I don't remember the old computer's password, (and why does it need to know that anyway?)

Although the computer does iMac does sync all the information, I just want to stop this annoying prompt. Any suggestions?

I have also tried reseting the sync data in the .Mac system preferences, but i hasn't worked.

Any other suggestions?

In the Preferences folder, find a file named com.apple.DotMacSync.plist and drag it to the Trash before rebooting. This helped me when I had a similar problem. Good luck.

Thanks, but now .Mac won't sync because it says incorrect password.

You can put that file back in the Preferences folder, replacing the new version and regaining your old settings if you like.

Maybe contact Apple about this. It could possibly be something wrong on their end.
