Hello,
for some reason when I jb my 3gs I get no audio. The first time I jb my 3gs I had no sound. I restored my 3gs and after a reboot, my sound came back? When I first jb I had no sound no keyboard clicks, no unlock sound, no ringtones etc. After I restored my sound came back I wanted to jb, I still want to jb. My second attempt to jb, I redownloaded pwnage tool, and I redownloaded the firmware. The jb went smoothly and I set up my iPhone as a new phone. One thing that happened was my computer said you have changed some settings do you want to apply them. I did apply them. I tried resetting all settings, but that didn't work. What I am thinking is I will restore and if my sound comes back try to rejaibreak. Just wondering what is wrong? And what I can do to make this work. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow! You have more topics started than you have issues with your phone...
You could keep all your running commentaries in 1 single thread and it would make it easier for anyone who wants to help, to keep track of your ordeals.
:D

Did you solve the problem?

Hi,

did you ever solve this problem?
I am fighting this issue for days now; please help me!!!!!

I had to return my iPhone. It was under warranty. I don't think my sound problems had anything to do with jailbreaking. I remember restoring my phone and the sound still not working. I eventually restored my iPhone and brought to the apple store and they replaced it.

Well it worked before I with 3.0.1 (JB as well) but after changing to 3.1.2 or 3.1.2 there is just no audio anymore!

I am wondering because jamesapp had exactly the same problem.

Is there any possibility to go back to 3.0.1 ?

Depends on which iPhone you have, Original, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, which one do you have?

If you have Original or 3G, you can just restore. If you have a 3GS you would have needed to have your SHSH blobs on file with Cydia to be able to restore to 3.0.1.

I have a 3Gs with 3.1.2 (old baseband) running (without sound).
Could I still save these SHSH files? I am stuck in China at the moment and I really need this phone. I could by a new one here but due to stupid laws it will have no WiFi.

Thanks

Unfortunately no, you needed to save it when you had 3.0.1 loaded on your device.

Do you think it is a good idea to update the phone with the original Apple OS and jb and unlock using Blackrain? But then I would have the new baseband forever, right?

You cannot JB or unlock a 3GS on 3.1.3 with blackrain.
You can just JB a 3GS on 3.1.3 with Spirit.
You cannot even activate it or hactivate it either without a valid carrier simcard.
So you dont have many options.
You cannot restore to 3.1.2 either.
You're really confused. You will not have the new baseband forever. You mean bootloader? Thats only updated during manufacturing and cannot be altered with any itunes update.

So my only option is to make the jb work with pwnage tool.
Well it works but without any sound...damn
