Can anyone help?

I just bought tiger (10.4). I have a PPC G4 cube (450Mhz, 320MB ram).
When I tried installing Tiger, I get this message:

Panic (.....something about cpu 0)
Unable to find driver for this platform: "powermac5,1"

What do I need to do?
Thanks for your help.

Where did you get your Tiger media? It's a PPC version, right?

What OS was on the machine prior to buying it? Is it all stock or does it have any aftermarket parts such as a different graphics card or CPU?

tiger 10.4.8

I purchased Tiger on craigslist. I Don't know if it's PPC version. It does not specify on discs.

I currently run OS 10.2.8 (panther). The computer is all stock. The only thing I've changed is the memory. I think I added a 128MB module to make what is now 320MB ram.

Is your copy of tiger a retail disk? The only way your going to install tiger on that cube is if it's a retail copy. Not a grey pack in system disk.

Remove the ram you just installed and try again. The the older ppc macs are very picky about the ram being the right specs.
