Hi,
I have iMac g5 with dead superdrive, and I need to reinstall mac os x leopard.
How I could do it? I mean, is there way to install from usb stick?
I have asus x50n laptop with windows vista inside, maby some how I could use it's dvd rom to my imac?

Yes, you'll need to create an iso disk image from the install disc and from that you can boot off the usb stick and install OSX.

You'll still need an optical drive to read the install disk to create the iso disk image.

But in some forums users says that ppc mac's does not boot from usb, is it right?
I wanth buy a usb dvd optical drive, will imac boot from it?

If you're looking for an external optical drive, definitely get one with FireWire for that iMac. The alternative that was mentioned was using the optical drive on a PC to make an image that could be used from a flash drive, but again, since it's a USB source, it's tricky at best to get it to boot from it. A FireWire hard drive or optical drive will be your best bet probably.
