Hello,

I am in need of help on how to make a halo 3 machinima. Here are some questions:

1. What do I need? (obviously xbox, halo 3, etc...)

2. What do video capture cards do?

3. How can I make the video stream onto my mac via capture card? (not to sure, correct me if I am wrong)

And thats all, im sure more questions will come as I learn more.

Also, I found what I think to be a capture card, but wasn't sure, could anybody tell me if this is:

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10081505&catid=#

Thanks.

Wow, still nobody can answer me??? I found out what I pretty much need to know from another source, but can somebody still answer if the link is an actual video capture card.

Thanks.

ok you need (let's start w/ the obvious) :

1. Xbox 360
2. A copy of Halo 3
3. Controller
4. Composite video splitter
5. 2 sets of composite cable (yellow, red, white)
6. Capturing Device
7. computer with editing software
8. hard drive space (the more you have, the better)

the capture card is what you hook up to your computer to record the video.

you hook up the splitter to the composite (yellow, red, white) part of the xbox's video cable, then take the 2 sets of the composite cables and connect those to the splitter, the capturing device, and tv. then hook up the capture device to your computer etc....

as to the capture device you found. yes, it is what you need
