Need help with migration assistant

Hey guys, I just bought a new macbook pro, and i want to migrate all the information/apps from my old mac to the new one.
I was part of the beta program, and therefore i have 10.10.1 installed on my old macbook pro. for some reason, although i am registered with the same apple id on the new macbook, it doesn't let me upgrade to 10.10.1 and therefore i cannot use migration assistant because i don't have the same product version on both.

any solution? i really need a quick help, as i'm about to sell the old mac and i wanna be able to migrate everything!
