I've just switched back to the iPhone after being an Android user for about 1.5 years.

Let me go ahead and apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place, the Mac Forums are closed for some reason, saw a thread on here, if you try to login it just says an unknown error occurred, so I have no idea where to turn for help.

I had to use Microsoft Exchange to get my contacts from my old phone into the iPhone 5, it worked, but it's very glitchy. I have multiple copies of most people. I've gone through and deleted and cleaned it up, but it reverts back when I'm not looking. I bought the app "ContactClean", but it doesn't help. I've literally spent an hour to go through and delete duplicate contacts and fix wrong numbers only to have it "sync" itself back with the wrong information. I used "MyPhone+" to get pictures to update, and they still revert back. If I turn off Microsoft Exchange for contacts then all my contacts disappear.

How on earth do you get your contacts to work? And if I delete one, how do I make it stay deleted? I've got some contacts listed alphabetically by first name, some by last, no method to the madness. And some contacts are duplicated 4 times.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I can barely call people right now because I can't find them, or the number is wrong, etc. And the duplicates and wrong pics are just frustrating, because I spent so much time fixing it manually only the have the phone magically undo all my work.
