Hi, I am new here and need help upgrading my iMac7,1 10.6.8 to 10.9. I only have 1gb memory and modified the one OSInstall.mpkg to support only 1gb. When I booted to installer it said 2gb required. Clicked ok, and was installing, until when it said, Remaining time, 5 minutes and froze, nothing moving. Tried mouse did not work. I am going to leave the imac overnight. :( Btw, |I checked the logs a few times before, and got a few errors, such as Missing CoreServices etc. and other stuff.

DEFINITELY go gitchya some more memory! My iMac ran slow as GOOP with 2GB of ram.... but when I made it 4GB of ram, my iMac SAILS like a ROCKETSHIP!!!

So, DON'T EVEN BOTHER with your hacks or stuff....you'll HATE having just 1GB of ram.... you'll HATE having 2GB ram..... but when you have 4GB ram, you will feel like you have the fastest computer on the planet!

Got it?
