Need help with PC i just built....

Its not really about a mac but this has become my #1 source for help lately. I just build a pc and have no sound! the speakers are hooked up right, the sound card is fully recongized, and windows system volume is turned up all the way. I can't for the life of me figure out whats wrong. Any ideas? Thanks

I guess drivers.
but it could be wrong wires hooked up...

maybe the speakers themselves but get new drivers.

play some music on windows, then plus your hedphones into every sound port in your computer untill you hear something. this is what i do since i have a have 3 sounds cables and my sound card is gold plated.

Does your motherboard have built in audio? If so, it could be conflicting with you sound card. Go into your bios and disable the onboard audio.
