I know this isn't exactly pertaining to macs, but I know you guys know your stuff. I recently goofed up a partition on my Boot HDD and I'm using Photorec (linux) to recover my files. Unfortunatley, I cannot find the directory to use to save to my external hard drive. Any advice on that would be appreciated.

My advice is that the phrase "Unfortunately, I cannot find the directory to use to save to my external hard drive". makes no sense and you should rephrase it so people can understand what the problem is.
Do you mean you cant access your external HD?
Do you mean you don't know how to create a new directory on the HD?
Do you mean you don't know where you should save the files?
Or do you mean something else?

It means that Photorec gives me 3 "directories" all of them are named with seemingly random letters and numbers, I am having trouble determinging which one is my external hard drive. The external HDD is mounted and is partitioned with the FAT 32 filesystem.
