Need help with Quicktime Pro audio codecs and Firefox downgrade

I been having trouble with Quicktime Pro audio, I can get the video to show (its an AVI) but I don't hear any sound and I wanted to know if anone know some audio codecs I can install so I can hear the sound. I already downloaded AC3 and A52 codecs and installed them in library/audio/plug-ins/ but they don't seem to work, also I wanted to know where can I download Firefox 2 for Mac, I have Firefox 3 but I don't like it at all.
