need help with software update!

when i try to download Mac OSX 10.4.7 my internet connection is slow so it says it will take about 15 hours. after a few hours it always "times out" i will leave it on overnight and set it so it never sleeps, however it always "times out" i need this update before i can run my itunes again, because i already downloaded the newest itunes update. But everytime i go to click on it it says itunes requires Mac OSX 10.4.7 or later. IM STUCK!

im not sure what you mean? i have mac osx and i have a 24" imac. its not the latest imac but it was the one available right before that.

Try downloading the latest update manually from Apple.
