need help with the used powermac g4 i just bought

everytime i shut down the computer it resets everything. takes off all the music i added in itunes ( still has firefox that i added in the finder though but i had to re-install it). i'm thinking the person who sold it to me did something to clean the machine when it was sold.

this is probably something easy but i'm not too computer savvy. any help would be greatly appreciated.

anyone? i know this is prolly something i can fix easy i just dont know how....

Sounds like it might be a permissions issue. Try booting on the install CD and do a permissions repair. Also make sure that you have write access to wherever iTunes downloads its files.
