Need help with torrented Garageband

I torrented iLife 11 and was wondering how to use it. I wanted the iPhoto to upgrade but it didn't so I went to the Apple store and one of them made it work so that iPhoto was upgraded but at the time I didn't use Garageband, and I now want to use Garageband and the same thing is happening, viz., it's not upgraded and I don't know how to upgrade it from the torrented iLife.
