Need help with Voice Control

After updating my sons iPhone 6 to 9.1, he has had problems with Voice Control popping up. I tried the usual rebooting and turning off Siri and Hey Siri, but it keeps happening. Any advice on how to get it to stop? I would appreciate it.

I found what was causing this to happen after much research. Many said that the headphones were the cause. He was using the Apple ear buds that came with the phone, so we switched to a new pair of them and the voice control stopped popping up. Happy to have found the reason why and thought I would post the solution.

He didn't prefer it. It came on by itself
