Hi

I am trying to boot a power pc G5 iMac 17 inch with the leopard disk and it will not boot of the disk! After holding down alt I get it to boot from the leopard disk and then it starts then all I get is the spinning beach ball of death?

So can someone help!

Ok, I get more from the computer when I hold down the alt key, I let's me choose what boot it from, when pressing the C key i get bo progress all that happens is that I get the apple in the middle of the screen, do you have to leave it for a long time?

Yes. It's called patience. Try it out.

DVD's take a long time to boot. Just leave it be. Sometimes on older PowerPC Macs Leopard can take 10-15 min.
