Need help...

Hey gang, I have a friend that has a Power Mac G4, and he's running 10.3. He wants to upgrade to a more recent version of OS X in order to be able to run current versions of Safari and/or Firefox. What is the most current version of OS X that he can run? I doubt Leopard, but Tiger maybe?

Should have no problem with Tiger. Here are the details for Leopard. If you can provide more info than just that its a G4, you can determine which is best.

OK, now that it's determined that Tiger will run, what version does he need to get? Is there a Power Mac specific DVD he needs to look for?

Any retail Tiger or retail Leopard install DVD will work fine.

I believe there is an intel only version of Tiger out there - be sure to avoid it.
