need info on the MBP's display

So, I'v been going back and forth on what MBP to buy, but there's this last question I need answering.

I know MBP screens are great for photo editing and video editing compared to normal consumer notebooks, but does someone know what % NTSC Color Gamut it has?

and I'm getting and external monitor, but just not the 999 apple one, what would be the most similar to the mbp's screen.
