Hello forum!

I want to buy a new sleeve for my husband for father's day. He bought the $40 sleeve from Apple but it picks up dust and has a weird rubbery texture that just doesn't feel right. I want a simple sleeve that is practical, and not neoprene (it seems as if I have a texture problem!). Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

I would suggest looking at the following:

1. SF Bags: http://sfbags.com/products/ipad-cases/ipad-cases.php Good for keeping the iPad in while its not in use.

Otherwise if you want a folio style case that the iPad stays in while in use

2. Marware: http://www.marware.com/products/iPad

3. Incase: http://www.goincase.com/products/category/iPad Look at the Book Jacket or Convertable Book jacket

Are you buying the case for him or you? :D

I would suggest the hard candy bubble sleeve. The rubber feet were faulty but they fixed it and now they are awesome. Great customer service too I had a faulty one and they sent me out a brand new case

Totally agree on this one. The combo of either the Belkin Grip Vue / Switcheasy Nude and the Hard Candy Cases Bubble or Hard Sleeve really can't be beat.

Are you asking about a sleeve or folio case?

Next, do you want leather, fabric, or nylon outer shell?

Last is budget? Are you looking at staying within $40 or less or are you willing to go more?

I am not super price sensitive but want to stay under $100. As for outside fabric, I would be ok with leather, fabric or nylon as long as it's not too light of a color (I've seen cases that are white leather-- I'd get that dirty in 2 seconds by my luck!)

And thanks for the previous suggestions (although isn't the speck one neoprene?)-- I'll check them out!

If I was looking for a sleeve, I would probably go with either a Watergate SF or Fossil one. They both look great and seem to fit your requirements.

Simple leather sleeve from Sena. $99.99 but there is a 20% coupon you can easily find on google.

For those who have the SF sleeves and the suede ones-- do these have any padding?

If you're referring to the WaterField Designs Slip Case, it does have padding, plus one side has a flexible plastic insert for added protection. Dunno about the suede model, though.
