 Why is it that you have a nice photo, let's say a family picture, where everything is framed pretty well, but then when you go to print it out, it automatically crops out the outer edges and cuts off family members in the photo.

Does anyone know how to set the printer or any other settings that prints the picture exactly the way you see it on the computer? I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find the answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The standard size prints in the photographic world; eg, 6x4, 7x5, 10x8 etc are of a different ratio to the size of the photo that your camera produces. Therefore, in order to fill the print with your picture, your picture will be cropped.

The only way around this is to drag your photo into something like Pages/Word, or open in Preview, resize it to what you want, and then print.
