Hello,
I want to jump like to the end of a line and the beginning of a line like I can with my PC with End and Home key (I think, it's been a while since I used a PC and the keys were like 2nd nature so I never really paid attention to what they were called). I have tried to figure out what the equivalent is for Macs (macbook pro core 2 duo) but I have not figured it out.

I went to http://guides.macrumors.com/Keyboard_shortcuts

Ok, I see now that command plus right arrow works for "end"
but command nor control plus left arrow works for "beginning of line"

Anyone help me on this?
Please replicate with a Macbook Pro (core 2 duo) in gmail while writing an email. Try to use the shortcut to go to the begining of a line and see if it works.

Then if you figure out the problem, please reply and then post your findings here:
