I have a dual 1.8 G5 hooked up to a 17" Apple Studio display.

I went to the apple store and with the advice from the salesperson purchased the Belkin 2 port KVM Switch (USB/VGA) to hook up to my mac and my pc. He said I needed an adapter for the display, though.

So he sends me to Radio Shack where I purchased a DVI (female) to VGA Adapter. All is good so far.

I started to set it up, and the DVI connector on the apple display is larger than the 29 pin adapter. I can't find an adapter anywhere that will fit it.

Any ideas?

thanks!

any ideas?

It's an ADC adapter of some sort that I need, but can't seem to find one. I need female ADC to male VGA.

Does anyone know how I can make this work?

thanks!

Not Quite

The Mac is ADC out (male)
PC is VGA out
KVM switch is VGA in (female)

The switch hooks up fine to the PC....it's the ADC out on the Mac that is the problem.

I think you are gonna need a DVI-ADC adapter (search for "adc adapter" on the Apple store) and a DVI-VGA adapter (should have come with your G5 I think) to connect your ADC monitor to the VGA kvm switch. If I understand correctly.
