So I screwed up my MBP by deleting the recovery partition and then the main partition (essentially the entire drive) and now I am unable to recover/reinstall macOS. I tried the internet recovery method but that is always stuck...it keeps giving me the error (under the animated globe): apple.com/support -2002F

So my only option now is to create a bootable USB drive to put macOS on and proceed with the recovery.

I am working on a Windows 10 machine now and am following the instructions here (https://pureinfotech.com/make-bootable-usb-mac-os-x-windows/) which require me to get a copy of the MacOS Mojave DMG file to proceed. I have no way of being able to download it as I do not have access to another Mac. I also do not trust the files I find online... Is there a way I can download the file directly from Apple's website without being a Developer?

Your help in this is much appreciated!

If you use the dosdude1 patch utility for Mojave, part of the tool allows for a direct download of the install file. From there you can make a bootable USB. If you have a MEGA account, I can link you to a folder. However you said "I also do not trust the files I find online..." so i don't know how to help with that.

Actually, sounds like a trip to the nearest Apple Store genius bar may be in order...
