I want to replace my ThinkPad T410s with a MBP but I need the MBP to drive two external displays, one at 2560x1600 and the other at 1920x1200. My ThinkPad T410s today (with the docking station) has absolutely no problems doing this through two seperate DisplayPort connectors.

I read up on the Matrox DualHead2Go but it wont do the trick. Why? According to specs: Supports a maximum resolution of 3840x1200 (2x 1920x1200); displays attached to DualHead2Go must run at the same resolution...

Issue 1) I need to drive a total of 4480x2800.
Issue 2) The two external monitors are at different resolutions.

I also looked into DisplayLink but the performance of the DisplayLink adapters are subpar and really dig into the CPU.

Any other ideas?

thanks
