What size and resolution combos do you recommend so as to avoid scaling and ensure crisp imaging? I'm running a 2018 mini with a Sonnet 560 Puck.

I'm running that combination on a Dell U4919DW and it's great. It says it's scaled to the smallest size but everything looks crisp to me, and it effectively gives me three monitors worth of usable space. The mini was able to output to it without the eGPU, but it had to be run in dual monitor mode, with DisplayPort and USB-C connected.

Size is totally up to you. Nobody can tell you what monitor size you’d personally prefer.

I would strongly recommend you go 4K or above for resolution. MacOS no longer renders fonts properly on anything less.

I really like the Dell P2415Q monitor. Only issue is that it looks outdated. They haven’t released a new model in 5 years.
