I have a MB w/ 2ghz 4gb Ram 80gb hd and combo drive. A guy I work with is willing to trade me his MacBook Pro 17" 2.4ghz 3gb ram 200gb hd w/ superdrive. He wants my laptop and $500. He bought the MBP for $3700 about 8 months ago. My questions are A) is this "that" good of a deal B) do you guys think i'll get tired of carrying around a 17" laptop all the time? Thanks for your help!

i think thats a really good deal and I have a 17'' mbp and within a week I got used to carrying it (I had a 15'' mbp prior). However, the 13'' is a lot more portable than the 17'', if portablity is of the utmost importance to you, then you may be better off keeping your mb.

its a good deal on paper, in reality

1. check the integrity of the machine
2. check the warranty of the machine

can you carry it alot? I don't know. You need to think for yourself on that one.:)

I was there the day he ordered the machine, its a good friend. So I know the laptop has been taken care of and totally legit. So thats not a issue at all. Thanks for the input.
