Need opinions to set best storage configuration

Hello, this is my storage configuration at the moment :

Bay 1 : WD 1tb Caviar Black 32mb Raid 0 (boot osx)
Bay 2 : WD 1tb Caviar Black 32mb Raid 0 (boot osx)

Bay 3 : SD 1tb Barracuda 32mb 7200.11 Storage apps and share

I have also a WD 74gb raptor 16mb 10000rpm to use...


I've noticed 1 thing, osx was faster on boot when i had only 1 hd WD caviar black then now in raid... why ?

Maybe it's better to use the 74gb raptor in Bay1 to boot osx and the other 3 hd in raid 0 ? or something else?

Where is your backup?

I have external hd for backup...but i don't use an image copy of my hd...i make a manual backup of what i need...mp3, video, applications, downloads, mail etc...
