Need plug-in for MIME type application/x-shockwave-flash - downloaded and still wont

Every time I try to use Youtube it tells me i dont have the internet plug-in for the flashplayer and that I need to follow a link to download it

I followed the link, downloaded the program, closed all the browsers and it STILL wont let me on youtube

I tried repairing the dick but the disk showed up as fine when i verified it.

What do I do??????
