Hey all!

Just had business cards made and the proofs were sent in a file called BusCards5.p65. I've no program to open, but I believe I need Adobe Pagemaker or something. Is that correct?

Can someone link me to a program that will open this file, or tell me a way I can do it with my current software included with Tiger if possible?

Thanks! :D

Sorry to bump so soon but I get out of work in an hour and a half. Figured I'd give this thread one more shot before I leave because I'd really like to approve these proofs today if I can.

Thanks again! :)

Could someone here be trusted to open this file for me and send me a screenshot of the proofs? They are business cards with phone numbers and addresses so someone trustworthy!

I ask because the person who sent these is very computer illiterate.

OK I downloaded the PageMaker tryout for Mac and it won't install because I don't have Classic, or whatever. It keeps looking to install on OS 9, but why? It never asked what version of Mac OS I was using, it just had a download link for PageMaker tryout for Mac. What can I do to open this damn file?

yeah I'm sorry I linked to the wrong page, then went back and changed my first post.

Try the new link to all the Adobe downloads and get Indesign CS2, runs on OSX.

I just opened an old pagemaker .p65 file I had with this trial version of CS2 and it worked.

I have no Adobe software, but I suppose I could download the Acrobat Reader. That would work, right?

Would this be easier than you just emailing me a screenshot?

Reader cannot open .p65 files. These can only be opened by either PageMaker 6.5 or 7.0 (Classic only), or by InDesign CS or CS2 (OS X). Free trial versions of PageMaker 7.0 and InDesign CS2 are available online at www.adobe.com. Both PageMaker and InDesign programs can then export the document to a PDF.

besler3035, what I meant by this was if Bibulous were to convert the p65 to pdf, could I use the Reader to view it then? PageMaker will not install for reasons that require hands-on attention on levels beyond my capability, but the Reader would probably work fine.

If you still need help I can convert them for you if you'd like. I PM'd you my email. You could open the pdf in preview without having to download reader. I'll be here till 7 est

Received. Thank you!

That gives me a pretty good idea, but I might need someone elses help to be sure I want to pay for these.

OK, file is sent. Thanks!
Sent the files back, but I was missing a font that was required so I'm pretty sure the pics I sent back will not be exactly the way the file is actually done. Sorry about that. Hopefully someone else can help

I'm very good at searching Google. :D
