I been using my Itouch all day today with no problem. I just go to turn it on and connect it via usb, and the apple logo is stuck on the screen.

i tried to hard restart it several times, but it still doesnt work.

any ideas????

Connect it to the computer and see if iTunes can knock some sense into it. You may need to do a restore. Worse case, you'll have to stop by an Apple Store and get it swapped.

I have an idea

hey
try this
while plugging into computer, hold power and home for 7 seconds, until screen goes black. Then release. Then hold power and home buttons for 15 seconds until apple logo reappears, ur ipod should boot up.

do it the old fashioned way, bang it on your hand. :D i've just seen a post where an iPod Classic was banged on a Genius' hand and it worked, the Classic had bad sectors in the HD.

but fiddle around with it in itunes. restore, etc.

That is exactly why that "trick" sometimes worked with hard drive based iPods, because they had failing HDs. That is not going to do a thing for the solid state iPhone/Touch. I wouldn't even recommend doing it on a HD-based iPod actually as you could damage it even further.
